“Story is the umbilical cord that connects us to the past, present, and future. Family. Story is a relationship between the teller and the listener, a responsibility. . . . Story is an affirmation of our ties to one another.”

-Terry Tempest Williams

When you reflect on your family, what is it that makes your heart thump? For me, it is the small moments, the little threads that make a story come alive - the way your toddler grabs a fistful of hair as he rides your shoulder, the laugh she saves only for her brother, the mountains of laundry, the plastic dinosaurs sprawled at your feet - these are the moments that pull at my heartstrings.
